This 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 features a stainless-steel body over a gray leather interior and is powered by a 2.85-liter V6 mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes air conditioning, an AM/FM cassette stereo, a tilt and telescoping steering column, a rear window defogger, power windows, gull-wing doors, rear window louvers, and staggered-diameter wheels.
Service performed in the past year includes repairing the door locks and adjusting the doors as well as a valve adjustment and fuel system work. This DMC-12 shows 3,200 miles and is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The Giugiaro-styled body features brushed stainless steel body panels and urethane front and rear valances mounted on a composite underbody and a Lotus-derived steel chassis. Additional features include gullwing doors, a front spoiler, a louvered rear-window cover, quad headlights, and dual exhaust outlets. The door locks were repaired in December 2021, and the door handles and power antenna were replaced at this time.
Staggered-diameter 14″ and 15″ turbine-style wheels wear 195/60 front and 245/60 rear Hankook Kinergy ST tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension and power-assisted disc brakes all around. The brake system was overhauled in 2017.
Work performed at DMC of Huntington Beach, California, in December 2021 included a valve adjustment, recharging the A/C refrigerant, and replacement of the control pressure regulator, engine mounts, and rear fuel accumulator hose.
