This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is powered by a replacement 427ci V8 mated with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in black over black leather upholstery. Features include a red-striped stinger hood, triple taillamps, side exhaust outlets, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ Rally wheels, air conditioning, an analog clock, tinted windows, aftermarket speakers, and a retro-style digital stereo. The car was also previously owned by guitarist Slash of Guns N’ Roses.
The front end of the car was repaired in 2011 before the fiberglass body was refinished in black. Exterior features include a red-striped stinger hood, triple taillamps, chrome bumperettes, concealed headlights, fender vents, window tints, and side exhaust outlets with heat shields.
Silver-finished 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome beauty rings and are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that were installed in 2019. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at all four corners. The tires were replaced in 2019. Mild corrosion is visible on the master cylinder.
Black leather seats were installed in 2011, and equiment includes air conditioning, an analog clock, a battery cut-off switch, aftermarket speakers, and a retro-style digital stereo. The steering column was rebuilt and the dash pad, glovebox door, and interior and air conditioning wiring harnesses were replaced under previous ownership.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for amperage, water temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 35k miles.
The replacement 427ci V8 was installed during previous ownership and features a four-barrel carburetor, woven ignition wires, and a polished air cleaner assembly and ignition cover. The engine wiring harness was replaced in 2017.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
